The NASA Earth Science Division is hosting a Decadal Survey Community Forum to “provide an update on the strategic implementation of the 2017 ESAS, with particular emphasis on the “new” program element identified as the Designated Observables (DOs). ESD is seeking new ways to leverage the work and ideas in the non-governmental/private sector to contribute possible approaches that may address the designated observables recommendations in the 2017 ESAS in order to increase mission/observing system capability and/or to reduce costs.”

The SBG team will review the process for community feedback, and NASA HQ staff, including Charles Webb, Associate Director for Flight Programs, Earth Science Division, who will discuss the next steps, leading to a decision.
