NASA's surface biology and geology designated observable: A perspective on surface imaging algorithms

New review paper summarizing existing hyperspectral and thermal algorithms across the Surface and Biology Geology Designated Observable thematic areas: snow/ice, aquatic environments, geology, and terrestrial vegetation

SBG Algorithms co-leads, Drs. Kerry Cawse-Nicholson and Phillip Townsend, led a huge collaborative effort to review existing hyperspectral and thermal algorithms relevant to the SBG Designated Observable across the following categories: snow/ice, aquatic environments, geology, and terrestrial vegetation, and summarize the community-state-of-practice in each category.

This work involved over 60 authors from 40 unique affiliations across 7 countries.
