Slides and Video from the 2023-07-12 SBG VSWIR Project Science/Applications Update Webinar

We have uploaded the slides from a recent webinar on the ongoing SBG VSWIR Project Science/Applications Earth System activities held July 12th, 2023, 12-2:00 pm PDT.

You can find the slides here.

In Phase A, the focus of this effort is to support the SBG VSWIR Project through the Project life cycle activities and reviews.  A near-term milestone is the System Requirements Review scheduled for late September 2023.

A key activity is refining the Project requirements in alignment with the Decadal Survey priorities while being mindful of science and applications value as well as maturity, cost, and schedule considerations.

At this event, we  discussed and invited feedback on the following topics:

  • Project Science/Applications Overview
  • Current mission and instrument status
  • Review of nominal product suites and algorithms for the core Decadal science and applications priorities.
  • Efforts to maximize the utility of SBG VSWIR observations, measurements, and products.
  • We will also discuss elements of calibration, uncertainty quantification, verification, parameterization, validation, and harmonization.
